Welthungerhilfe is one of the largest German non-governmental organisations in development co- operation and emergency relief. Primarily in co-operation with local partner organisations, our task is to contribute to the improvement in nutritional and income base for the low-income populations in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Welthungerhilfe has been implementing projects in Zimbabwe since 1980. Sector focus is on WASH, Food and Nutrition Security, Livelihoods and when necessary, Emergency response. Welthungerhilfe is urgently recruiting for suitably qualified candidates to fill the above vacancy.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the smooth running of all communication platforms and systems as per the ZAKIS communications strategy; Conduct trainings that promote digital literacy for the targeted beneficiaries and government extension workers; Develop, coordinate and disseminate resilience messages through appropriate channels and ensure all stakeholders promote the messages; Monitor, capture, report feedback and provide technical support to all ZAKIS stakeholders; Coordinate the design and production of project visibility material; Update project-based communication platforms.

Work/Educational Requirements

Qualifications and Skills required
Recent undergraduate degree program in Communications, Applied Media or related field with an interest and aptitude to work in the Media field; Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously; Willingness to work with communities at grassroots level; Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment; Good teamwork and interpersonal skills; Knowledge in monitoring and evaluation system design and approaches; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
