Contract: Full time
Duration of employment: 18 months (November 2019 – May 2021)
Location where study activities will be conducted: Budiriro, Tafara, Warren Park, and Hatcliffe; community work within Harare.

MAE Sub-Study: Menstrual Health: Investigating the Acceptability, Uptake, and Effectiveness of an MHM Intervention within a Community-Based Sexual and Reproductive Health Program

The aim of the MAE sub-study is to investigate the acceptability, uptake, and effectiveness of a menstrual health and hygiene intervention, within a sexual and reproductive health (SRH) community-based trial, among women aged 16-24 years in Zimbabwe.

Work/Educational Requirements

Qualifications
Previous qualitative research experience is required; A university degree or other qualification is desirable; Excellent verbal and written Shona and English fluency; Proficiency in Ndebele is desirable

Responsibilities
Recruiting and obtaining informed consent from study participants; Liaising with other members of the study team; Liaising with relevant healthcare workers (counsellors, community health workers, and nurses) to provide timely feed-back on study participants; Maintaining accurate data collection records; To carry out other tasks which may occasionally be necessary appropriate to the post, as determined by the line manager.

High personal motivation and self-management; Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and accept feedback; Confident, communicator who can work comfortably with diverse groups of people; Ability to work with young women and girls; Excellent time management; Reliable, diligent, detail-oriented worker who can see tasks through to completion; Accurate, honest, dependable and flexible; Excellent problem-solving skills; Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills; Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle and protect sensitive data with integrity; Ability to work with limited supervision and on own initiative; Ability to establish rapport with a variety of colleagues and to work flexibly with the line manager.
