Welthungerhilfe (German Agro Action) PVO 21/2003 is a consortium member of the center for Agricultural Business (Pvt) Ltd T/A Agriculture Business Center (ABC) that is a social enterprise which facilitates market access by smallholder farmers and at the same time generates a profit to be self-sustaining. The Agricultural Business Center aims to expand on existing agricultural business activities such as commodity brokerage, contract farming and input supply. Duties and responsibilities Ensure overall delivery and quality of the business offering to customers; Build the business profile by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations and employees; Maintain professional and technical knowledge through different platforms and establishing networks with stakeholders; Identify knowledge gaps with the farmers and coordinate trainings accordingly; Regular communication through maintaining sales and production reports on monthly and quarterly basis; Tracking sales, payments and customers interactions; Tracking receivables and payables and effectuating payments; Preparing Cost Benefit analysis; Database Management; Drafting Monthly Reports.
Qualifications and skills required Business Administration Degree, Accounting, Business Management, Marketing Degree or equivalent; 4-5 Years of demonstrated experience with the management of a social enterprise; Knowledge of running an agricultural business and experience working with small holder farmers; Horticultural experience and working with perishable products; Demonstrated experience with the management of a social enterprise; Demonstrated ability in strategic business management including: preparation and implementation of a business plan, risk mitigation measures, preparation of budgets and financial reports; Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to develop and maintain strong and trusting relationships with multiple stakeholders; Ability to lead a team with a focus on maintaining a positive culture, promoting innovation and delivering continuous improvement; High level of computer skills including database, financial software applications and CRM; Monitoring and Evaluation skills are an added advantage; Hold a clean class 4 drivers’ licence.
