Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Estates Supervisor for a hotel based in Victoria Falls. Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for the operational management, planning, maintenance of the hotel gardens, grounds, and estate. • Supervise and coordinate all estate, gardens, and grounds functions and perform other outdoor maintenance tasks. • Manage and support overall plant health and soil nutrition strategies for all gardens to include sustainable gardening practices and integrated pest management for all gardens. • Ensure the proper running, maintenance and usage of estates' tools and machinery. • Supervising and managing all gardens and grounds staff.
Skills / Attributes / Qualifications Required • A good understanding of the needs of a variety of plants, including trees, shrubs and flowers is vital. • Knowledge of soil types and soil management strategies is also important. • Knowledge and experience in working with watering equipment is essential. • Hands-on experience in a related post preferably in the hospitality industry. • Must be self-motivated, hardworking, and able to cope with pressure. • Mature with good interpersonal skills. • Keen attention to detail and follow through. • Excellent communication skills are essential. • Qualification in Horticulture/ Landscaping / Forestry from a reputable institution will be an added advantage.
