Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the above mentioned position at Umguza Rural District Council: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensuring the conservation and preservation of all natural resources in the District. • Supervising all CAMPFIRE projects in the District. • Managing the district hunting quota as allocated by Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife. • Promoting tourism in the District. • Developing programs for sustainable utilisation of natural resources including forest inventories, hunting quotas and EIA's for sand abstraction sites. • Controlling all problem animals in the District • Developing annual environment and natural resources budget for the District. • Enforcing Council environmental by-laws.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • At least a degree in Natural Resources, Forest Resources and Wildlife Management, Agriculture or Geography and Environmental Studies • A Master's Degree in the above fields will be an added advantage • Clean Class 4 Drivers' licence • At least 2 years working experience in a supervisory position. • A clean record of service within the local government fraternity
