ActionAid Zimbabwe wishes to advertise the following opportunity following an organizational re-design process in line with the organisation’s 2018 – 2023 Strategy “Citizens’ Collective Actions for Social Justice”. The Postholder will be responsible for day to day processing of accounting transactions in accordance with ActionAid Zimbabwe Accounting procedures. The post holder works within the framework of International and Local Financial Policies and Procedures manuals set by ActionAid International and the Country Program respectively ensuring all ActionAid policies & procedures, donor regulations, accounting standards and local laws are always complied with.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Financial Management or Accounting from a recognised educational institution; Professional qualification/Membership of a reputable Professional Accountancy body such as ACCA, CIMA or CIS will be an added advantage; 2 years’ experience in accounting and Finance field preferably in an NGO Sector. Key Competencies Well versed in project accounting; Knowledge of computerised accounting packages; Sharp analytical skills; Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work and meet tight deadlines with resilience and reliability
