Finance Officer: Union for the Development of Apostolic Churches in Zimbabwe, Africa (UDACIZA) Deadline: 24 January 2020 About UDACIZA Union for the Development of Apostolic Churches in Zimbabwe, Africa (UDACIZA) is a leading and reputable umbrella organization of Apostolic Churches in Zimbabwe. UDACIZA was formed to champion spiritual and socio-economic development of Apostolic members and ensuring an improved quality of life, social justice and equality for apostolic church members. UDACIZA is a member of the Zimbabwe Heads of Christian Denominations (ZHOCD). Project Background UDACIZA through the ZHOCD is going to be implementing a project to support and strengthen the church’s voice in devolution processes. The project is aimed at strengthening the role of the church in promoting social cohesion and civic participation within the devolution and decentralization processes. The project will be implemented in Manicaland, Midlands and Masvingo provinces. Position Summary The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the Project budget. Interpretation of financial information and provide appropriate and relevant advice to management. Analyzing financial reports for project staff and providing guidance to management and project officers. The incumbent will need to be a competent Accountant, an excellent communicator,
Qualifications and Experience A University degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance, At least two years of relevant professional experience in the field of finance focusing more on partner compliance. Proficiency in MS Office, financial software applications and reporting packages. Ability to understand, analyze and interpret donor guidelines. Ability to present financial information effectively. Ability to work with limited supervision. Desired skills and Competencies Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with diverse faith groups, excellent planning and time management, organized and efficient and have great attention to details and flexibility to work in a demanding and varied environment, ability to work under pressure, a sound understanding of monitoring and evaluation.
