DESCRIPTION The Graphic Designer is responsible for translating marketing objectives into creative strategies, concepts, and designs. The Graphic Designer determines the most effective way to represent brand identity across multiple media channels. This position will work on graphic design, website development, landing page design and correlating specs, collateral development, digital advertising, promotions, and custom coding HTML for Email Marketing. This role is people-oriented and involves working with internal Marketing Team, pitching designs, and understanding business objectives. This position collaborates to conceive and finalize the design for web sites, microsites, ad campaigns, landing pages, brochures, mobile sites, marketing jingles and digital signage for our brands. Job Functions: Actively involved in the UI/UX design of our software product solutions Design and spec landing/website pages Design signage for booths and events Design brochures for print/digital Design simple one and two color collateral projects. Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style, and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space and aesthetic design concepts. Print sample of finished layout and present sample to Creative/Marketing Director for approval Work closely with marketing coordinators to ensure precision, meet deadlines and exceed expectations. Revise and update information on various CIT print and online assets Assist in managing graphics materials and sending updates as revisions are made Multi-task while maintaining direct focus on top priorities Maintain consistency within all brand properties and ensure all work accurately represents from the CIT brand. Suggest strategies to improve CIT products and brand presence. Use the latest tools to push the envelope of company brand using typography, icons, infographics, and visual storytelling. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all requisite software applications relative to digital and print media: Sketch & Adobe CS INDD, PS, AI. Promote continual creative improvement and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability.
REQUIREMENTS Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic or Visual Design, Design Communications, Fine Arts or a related field with proven ability to work across web, print, Mobile, etc. Must have an IT background. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to self manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience communicating complex concepts concisely Excellent written and verbal communication skills Technical: Working knowledge of graphic designing software in a Mac environment and Windows environment Mastery in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects is a plus Experience with Sketch Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint) and iWork (Keynote) General knowledge of HTML and CSS (understanding of how comps translate to code) Page Maker Other: Self-motivated with impeccable design skills Proven ability to translate brand stories into clean, simple graphics that resonate with target audiences (B2B experience) Ability to adapt individual creative vision to meet company needs vs. defend strategic, creative vision to communicate company products effectively Ability to work collaboratively with teams, adapt to changing priorities, and embrace the unknown Exceptional organization and project management skills Proven time management skills – must be able to work independently and handle multiple ongoing tasks with rapidly changing priorities, including working with a high volume of ongoing projects with fast turnaround Creative sensibility, strong attention to detail plus a determined work ethic A positive, can-do attitude with teammate *Submit a link to your Design Portfolio along with your CV and Qualifications
