Deadline: 24 January 2020 The Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development is leading the development and adaptation of messages and materials for an initiative focused on HIV Prevention and Social Justice for Children within the Faith Community. Our proposed approach is embedded within a socio-ecological framework that acknowledges a process which includes meaningful engagement with faith leaders, gatekeepers and dialogue regarding acceptable engagement for HIV testing, care and treatment programs. Working with traditional and religious faith groups, OPHID will be supporting a ‘co-creation’ workshop to develop/adapt faith-based materials, which reflect positive messages for the HIV cascade (HIV Testing, treatment literacy, viral load monitoring). Position summary The Graphic Designer and Creative Content Producer will support material development, content production and packaging of an HIV Awareness Raising and Treatment Literacy Communication Package for faith communities. The consultant will be expected to participate in a Co-Creation Workshop to be held from 3 to 7 February and provide technical input during group work and feedback sessions. Provide creative suggestions on content design and development of relevant communication materials/products (such as but not limited to Sermon Guides, Bible Study Guides, Posters, Radio Spots, Social Media Adverts) as defined by the faith communities. After the Co-Creation workshop, the Consultant is expected to work with OPHID and the FCI Project Management Team to refine the communication materials and deliver print/broadcast ready products (as applicable). This stage will include incorporating feedback from materials pre-testing and validation processes.
Qualifications Strong theoretical and practical background in graphic design, including the use of design software such as Adobe Design Premium, In-Design, CorelDraw, web design tools such as Dreamweaver and Flash, etc.; A minimum of five (5) years of work-related experience in graphic design with proven knowledge of graphic layout and design across multiple media channels; Demonstrated experience in visual messaging and informational graphics for HIV/AIDS materials will be an added advantage; A creative mindset and the ability to work well under pressure, completing tasks efficiently, and handling tight deadlines
