The Head of Leadership and Lifelong Development will lead the design, implementation and evaluation of all leadership training and Lifelong Development initiatives, in accordance with organizational priorities and strategies. The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high energy, collaborative leader who has experience working with young leaders at all levels, and a proven record of accomplishment in building a progressive leadership development strategy

Work/Educational Requirements

Qualifications and Experience	• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or related field. 
• Possess 4 - 6 years of experience working in Leadership Development, Organization Development, and/or HR related discipline.
• Extensive knowledge of Learning Theory, Instructional Strategies and Learning Assessments, as well as knowledge of personality or leadership assessment methodology, interpretation, and feedback and multi-rater assessment tools.
• A thought leader in the leadership development field with a natural curiosity for leveraging leading edge practices across multiple fields and industries.
• Demonstrated performance in leadership development strategy, design and implementation.
• Excellent verbal skills, written communication skills, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing leadership strategies
• Demonstrated partnership management experience, with a special focus on school-based partnerships 
• Experience in start-up environments or experience building new organizational initiatives
• Systems-minded, approaching organizational development with an entrepreneurial eye
• Process-oriented with a strong ability to build efficient systems for information management
• Self-directed and flexible, and excels in a deadline-driven environment

Key Result Areas	• Develops Leadership and Lifelong Development strategic plans and programs and devises interventions in line with HLF objectives and goals. 
• Consult with stakeholders to understand their leadership and lifelong development needs and the appropriate sponsorship, engagement and alignment.
• Coordinates, reviews and consolidates Volunteerism, Leadership and Lifelong Business Plans and submit to Program Director for review.
• Oversees operational execution of leadership and lifelong development initiatives including mentorship, leadership training, and Volunteerism in liaison with SBU Operations.
• Designs and implements leadership development programmes and mentee engagement activities such as Group mentorship and individual mentorship for HLF beneficiaries and alumni. 
• Facilitate leadership programs and conduct individual coaching or consultations with young leaders at all levels.
• Supervise, mentor, train, and engage the leadership training and coaching staff as they deliver approved leadership and coaching training models across the organization.
• Partner with external vendors, where appropriate, and manage budget and vendor agreements.
• Work effectively under deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, keen attention to detail, responsiveness to multiple requests and changing priorities.
• Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to implement all elements of the leadership program, including training, communications, evaluation, career placement, and other functions
• Build trusting, long-term, mutually-beneficial, and accountability-focused relationships with program placement sites.
• Design enriching cohort experiences for participants that build connectivity to one another and loyalty to HLF
• Act as the key point person for all leadership program members and placement sites
• Work closely with other pillar Heads to integrate participants and graduates into the network.
• Researches and secures mentorship systems and processes in line with the requirements of the department.
• Researches, develops and updates mentorship content and leadership development training manuals in line with HLF values and objectives.
• Develops volunteer recruitment strategies to support HLF leadership development goals as well as community engagement programmes
• Oversees the training and up-skilling of HLF volunteers in line with HLF strategic goals and community projects.
• Designs quarterly Community Awareness campaigns to sensitise communities of key development trends.
• Supervise the formulation and implementation community based volunteer activities
