Our client is looking for a chef to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cooking Management lunches for 5 to 10 people Monday to Friday and to look after the Kitchen. Ensuring food products are being delivered according to core menu specifications, utilising recipes and paying close attention to plate presentation guidelines. Inspecting of supplies, equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality. Washes dishes, utensils, counters, pots, floors and operates dishwashing machine. Train and supervise other food preparation workers. Receiving food and supply order in good condition, checking proper delivery temperatures, product codes and that invoice list matches products received. Checking freshness of food and ingredients. Immediately putting perishable items into refrigerators. Monitors food cooking and follows Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point. (HACCP) procedures as required.
Qualifications: Culinary or food management degree or equivalent education or operational experience of 2 to 3 years. A generous salary package will be offered to the right candidate.
