PROCUREMENT CLERK X 1 REPORTS TO: PROCUREMENT OFFICER The Procurement Clerk will be based in Harare. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES - Sourcing of quotations applying the procedures in the PPDPA Act. - Receive requests from other members of staff and validated the requests before processing. - Prepare a procurement competitive schedules and submit to the Procurement Officer for approval. - Prepares procurement documents to publicly solicit bids and contracts for the purchase of goods and services - Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and accounts for payment. - Maintaining records on all procurement proceedings and related matters - Interpret the PPDPA Act and ensure TIMB compliance with regulation. - Assist in the preparation of bidding documents. - Liaising with suppliers to schedule for deliveries or to discuss shortages or missed deliveries.
QUALIFICATIONS& EXPERIENCE - Minimum 5 'O' level subjects including English & Maths Diploma in Purchasing & Supply or equivalent from a reputable Institution - At least one year relevant experience - Membership of a relevant professional body - Knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act OTHER REQUIREMENTS / COMPETENCES -Computer literate - High level of integrity - Good interpersonal skills - Ability to work under pressure - Good communication skills -A clean Class 4 driver's licence
