Reporting to the Procurement Manager (Procurement Head), the job holder will help to deliver optimum value for money across the Fund by providing procurement support services. 
Duties and Responsibilities: • Preparation of the Fund's procurement plans and monitoring performance. • Processing purchase requisitions/orders in line with the Fund's policies and procedures. • Identifying and recommending potential suppliers to the Procurement Manager. • Preparation of bidding documents in compliance with the prevailing procurement laws. • Conducting regular supplier performance evaluations to ensure they meet required standards. • Establishing and negotiating contract terms and conditions and maintaining supplier relationships. • Sitting in the Evaluation Committee as an Advisor. • Preparing and maintaining procurement records, reports and price lists. • Assisting in the development of specifications for equipment, materials and services to be purchased. • Assisting in contract management. • Participating in the formulation of the Fund's procurement strategies. • Producing relevant procurement reports quarterly, bi-annually, annually, etc. • Negotiating with suppliers for favourable payment terms and delivery periods. • Adhering to standard operating procedures and PPDPA Act and Regulations

Work/Educational Requirements

Qualifications, Competencies and Work Experience: • Honours Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent. • A professional Qualification in Procurement preferable CIPS or any related qualification. • At least three years' relevant experience with strong bias towards Public Sector Procurement. • Knowledge in Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act [Chapter 22:23] • A member of a professional body, e g CIPS. • Good knowledge of SAP and a clean class 4 drivers' license a must
