The Youth Forum Zimbabwe (YFZ) is a non-profit making organization that was formed to enhance youth participation and empowerment in Zimbabwe. YFZ is currently implementing a project aimed at building youth capacity to detect, voice and expose corruption in order to influence open and transparent decision making. As such, YFZ seeks to recruit consultants to perform various duties as listed;

The YFZ is in the process of commissioning a survey on corruption. The survey comes as a legitimate means to allow young people to voice their thoughts, opinions and provide core evidence of corruption they encounter as well as provide strategies for combatting and whistleblowing. We are seeking to recruit field research assistants to support this exercise. The research assistants will be hired specifically for this short-term assignment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in data collection/ research methodology workshop; Conduct oral interviews using the provided research tools; Accurately recording the responses as per instruction issues; Under the guidance and supervision of the relevant organizational staff, conduct basic quality control on the research materials; Any other duties as may be allocated by the relevant organizational staff regarding this assignment.

Work/Educational Requirements

Minimum requirements
Be a current university student or a fresh graduate from a recognized local university; Have expertise to enter, transcribe, record, maintain data/ information in written or electronic forms (previous experience in this role strongly preferred); Fully available for a period of about fifteen days starting mid-February 2020; Generally conversant with the geography and local language(s) of the chosen area; The data collection will be conducted in many of the Manicaland, Harare & Chitungwiza and Mashonaland East.
