ActionAid Zimbabwe (AAZ) is implementing a project on ‘Strengthening Social Accountability and Oversight in Health and Agriculture in Southern Africa’ through Partnership for Social Accountability (PSA) Alliance and it seeks to engage a Consultant to conduct its Stakeholder Mapping and Baseline Survey on social accountability and oversight in Health and Agriculture in Zimbabwe.

Key Deliverables
The consultant(s) will be expected to deliver the following: Develop an inception report that details the work plan, budget and methodology; Submit a draft report as well as raw data sets of the collected data; Develop a framework that will guide implementation with regards to engaging adolescents, youth and small holder farmers; Present the findings through power point to the consortium members and other relevant stakeholders; Incorporate comments and submit final report of not more than 50 pages

Work/Educational Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required
Applications are welcome from either a single consultant or a small team of consultants .The consultant or team must have the following experience and skills: Postgraduate qualifications in Development Studies, Public Policy, Local Governance or other related Social Science discipline (preferably in gender, public health, agriculture, social research); Extensive technical expertise and professional experience of at least 10 years in service delivery, local governance, public resource management with a focus on health (HIV/SRHR) and agriculture services; In-depth knowledge of gender responsive public services and human rights based approach; Excellent research (applying both qualitative and quantitative methods), communication, writing, and editing skills; Ability to work independently and within a team; Knowledge of local languages (Shona and Ndebele) and English language proficiency
