Temporary Human Resources Assistant (Harare Country Office) Job Description Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing technical guidance and support towards key country HR processes in accordance with Plan International’s HR principles, policies, best practices and standards. Accountabilities Work with Program Assistants to update staff medical records for sharing with the service provider Assist with Plan International Zimbabwe’s recruitments Compile training plans for Plan International Zimbabwe Manage, update & maintain all Plan Zimbabwe personnel file records in a confidential and secure manner ensuring easy retrieval. Clarify HR policies and queries to staff. Other key deliverables including: Maintaining good inter-team communications, engender good team dynamics; Adherence to Plan policies, including Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding of Children & Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI).
Knowledge: A Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification Good understanding and application of country labour laws At least 3 years’ experience in Human Resources Good thematic knowledge in the field of human resources Specific skills of this position: Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills High degree of confidentiality and integrity Strong planning and organizational skills Behaviours: Striving for high performance across the team and for Plan International business Self-awareness and resilience by operating in a busy environment Committed, honest and transparent Interested candidates who meet the above requirements are required to submit their curriculum vitae & cover letter outlining their suitability for the position.
